The Olive Farm playbook

Check an Olive Mill Settlement

Match the mill slip to delivered olives, payment and retained oil.

After each mill delivery

How do I reconcile a mill delivery and the oil I keep?

Match the delivery to the harvest, record the mill’s cash or oil-share payment, and check gross oil against retained stock.

  1. Start with the Harvest

Open the relevant harvest and confirm the parcel, date, variety and olive weight. Use the oil-pressing route for olives sent to the mill.

  2. Use the Mill’s Record

Check the mill name and the pressing details against the delivery or settlement slip. Confirm the yield and quantities with the mill when a figure is unclear.

  3. Check the Payment Method

Choose the method used for that delivery: cash or a share of the oil. Review the relevant charge fields. Do not record the same mill payment again as an unrelated expense.

  4. Compare Gross and Retained Oil

Review total oil and net oil separately. This screen shows why the mill’s share and the oil entering your inventory must be distinguished. Check your own figures against the slip.

  5. Follow the Record into Stock

In Production → Inventory Management, find the linked oil record and confirm its parcel, season and quantity. Review factory settlements before finalizing your own records.
