Review Olive Oil Cost per Litre and Sales

Check the cost basis, unpaid sales and oil still held.

Monthly and at season close

How do I review recorded oil costs, sales and stock?

Check the recorded cost basis and oil quantity, then review sales, payments and stock for the same period.

  1. Choose a Consistent Period

Select the season you want to review. Check that the harvests, maintenance and sales you compare belong to the intended period.

  2. Complete the Cost Records

Review Maintenance, harvest costs and harvest overheads. Correct missing or duplicate expenses. Keep major investments separately classified from operating work.

  3. Read the Cost Basis

In Production → Inventory Management, review the product-cost detail available on your plan. Check which costs are included. Oil product cost is shown per litre; compare it with a selling price in the same unit and currency. Check any separately recorded mill charges and other expenses before using this figure to review profit.

  4. Review Sales and Collections

In Sales, check quantities, prices, customers and payments. A recorded sale and money collected are different events; review outstanding balances as well as sales totals.

  5. Review Stock and Reports

Check the stock still held and read the reports available on your plan. Unit cost, sales revenue, cash received and profit answer different questions. Use the report’s period and cost labels when comparing seasons.
